Changes at SVM Headquarters
We are pleased to announce that Heidi Diederich (pronounced with a "k" on the end) joined the SVM team on Monday Feb.1 as an administrator. Heidi has more than 15 years working with associations, including time spent with stand-alone organizations and association management companies.
During that time she proved she was adept at customer service, project management and multitasking, while developing experience in marketing, event planning, education, budgets, membership and working with volunteer leaders.
Most recently she served as director of member services for the Lake County Contractor's Association. Heidi was hired because of changes in staffing at headquarters.
Administrative Director Denise Mueller resigned effective Jan. 29, 2010. Denise began working with the Society for Vascular Medicine in 2007 shortly after The Sherwood Group took over management of the Society. The SVM board and committee chairs have come to rely on her experience over the years and have appreciated her calm and organized demeanor to every situation. Denise is a licensed massage therapist and will be working closer to her home in Wisconsin. We wish Denise every success in the future.
Administrator Gino Carlino has accepted a position with Loyola University Medical Center that is more in line with his long-term professional goals and will be leaving SVM and The Sherwood Group. Gino's last day in the office will be Feb. 10. Having joined SVM in June 2009, Gino quickly became an important part of the SVM team. He has touched most SVM projects in one way or another. We have appreciated his creativity and his attention to detail. Please join us in thanking Gino for his service to SVM and wishing him well in his new position.
