The SVM Dinner Symposium on Emerging Therapies for Critical Limb Ischemia is an opportunity for representatives from the vascular industry to host a four-hour scientific dinner program preceding the start of the SVM 2009 Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, on May 13, 2009.

5:15 p.m. First symposium lecture
5:45 p.m. Q&A (10 minutes) (salads served)

6:30 p.m. Q&A
6:45 p.m. 15 minute break (dinner served)
7:00 p.m. Third symposium lecture
7:30 p.m. Q&A (10 minutes)
7:45 p.m. Fourth symposium lecture (coffee served)
8:15 p.m. Q&A (10 minutes)
8:40 p.m. Discussion panel for all speakers

Speakers will be seated with SVM leaders at reserved tables for the entire program.

Ideally the speaker would provide a 30 minute lecture to allow 10 minutes of interaction with the audience. The full panel of speakers would participate in the discussion panel for the last 20 minutes of the evening.

Application Process
Applications to participate in the SVM Dinner Symposium on Emerging Therapies for Critical Limb Ischemia must be e-mailed to info@vascularmed.org no later than Nov. 25, 2008. Submitted applications must include the following information to be considered:

  • Symposium title
  • Name of supporting company
  • Contact information for the primary contact person who will be receiving all future correspondence
  • Statement of educational need and/or benefit for holding the symposium
  • Proposed speaker list with accompanying CVs
  • Narrative description of the symposium — this will be used to promote your session on the SVM Web site and in other promotional materials
  • Complete agenda
  • Learning objectives and goals of the symposium
  • Target audience

Applicants should be as accurate and detailed as possible when putting together their submission. The information provided in the application will be used in promotional materials should your symposium be selected for participation. Industry symposium should address relevant topics and may not include sales-focused materials. All applications that present genuine scientific content relevant to the SVM membership will be considered by the review committee for inclusion in the symposium.

Participation in the SVM Dinner Symposium on Emerging Therapies for Critical Limb Ischemia program requires an unrestricted educational grant to the SVM Annual Meeting as follows:

$15,000 for each one hour slot
(4 slots available)

Promotion Mataterials
SVM must approve all promotional materials for all industry symposium. Participating companies are required to present copies of all promotional materials to SVM staff for review prior to mailing. Participating companies may refer to themselves as a “Friend of SVM” and their symposium as preceding the start of the SVM Annual Meeting.

Setup / Logististics
The symposium and dinner will take place on Wednesday, May 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Contact information for onsite representatives will be provided to participating companies once their proposals have been accepted as part of the program.

Speaker Guidelines
Members of the SVM Executive Committee, the SVM Board of Trustees or SVM Committee chairs may not serve as speakers for a company’s symposium.

If a speaker chosen to present at the SVM 2009 Annual Meeting is also presenting at an industry symposium, the speaker must deliver unique information during each presentation. A subset of information or repeat of a scientific session or symposium is discouraged.

Speakers may participate in only one company’s symposium. Final speaker selection should be submitted to SVM by Feb. 10, 2009. SVM should be notified of any program changes.
