SVM 21st Scientific Sessions
6th Board Review Course

April 29-May 2, 2010
Intercontinental Cleveland Hotel
Cleveland, Ohio USA

The field of vascular medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, as well as the associated medical disorders of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus. This diversity and complexity of vascular diseases requires knowledgeable practitioners of vascular medicine to provide cost-effective care.

The Society for Vascular Medicine's 2010 Annual Meeting is the premier multidisciplinary educational event in vascular medicine. The meeting provides needed education and training through:

  • Scientific Sessions that provide updates on current trends in vascular medicine, information on clinical trials and new treatment options for managing vascular disease
  • The Vascular Medicine Board Review Course that provides a comprehensiveknowledge base for those seeking certification as a vascular medicine orendovascular specialist

The SVM Annual Meeting exposes the vascular practitioner to the discoveries and trends in pharmacotherapy for preventing adverse vascular events; vascular and molecular imaging; endovascular intervention and devices; pathobiology of vascular diseases; as well as management of the associated medical disorders of metabolism and coagulation.

SVM is a community of vascular clinicians who believe in the benefits of multidisciplinary discussion of critical evolving issues in vascular medicine. To further enhance these relationships, SVM has invited other societies to participate in joint sessions at the 2010 meeting and will be sending SVM representatives to these affiliated organizations' meetings as well.
